4The FutureWEDGE™ RAC vehicle barrier is a self-contained “plug and activate” single buttress bolt down barrier, designed for effective traffic control. It is the ideal solution for car rental sites, parking garages, or for campus access points requiring crash-rated security at a very competitive price. The FutureWEDGE™ RAC barrier has a plate height of 24 inches (610 mm) in the fully armed position (considerably higher than other competitive models) and is therefore capable of stopping and immobilizing a 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) vehicle traveling at 40 mph (67.6 kph) commonly referred to as an ASTM-PU40 crash rating. Single entrances up to 15 feet (4.57 m) wide can be secured with this barrier. It is standard with LED stop/go lights and can be ordered with a fully-integrated gate arm assembly.
